Marion and Nicolas Le Brun welcome you to their 8-hectare biodynamic estate, featuring several micro-terroirs on the first hillsides of the right bank of the Tarn River, just 10 minutes from the center of Rabastens.
The winemaker presents the different grape varieties and explains his practices, including agroforestry with hedgerows planted every 12 rows of vines, gentle pruning, as well as the choice of natural grass cover and cover crops. The tour then leads to the site where biodynamic preparations are collectively produced, providing an opportunity to explain their role in soil health and vine growth.
The visit continues with a wine tasting, accompanied by explanations of a winemaking process carried out with as few inputs as possible, using neutral, oval-shaped vessels designed to best reveal the aromas of the grape varieties and the terroir of the estate. The tour concludes with a visit to the cellar, dedicated to wine production and storage, and the barrel cellar used for ageing, which notably houses oval vats as well as concrete and stoneware eggs.
