Sentier “La Sagne des Baysses”

A themed, signposted trail located along the “Montéliote” hike, offering an introduction to the many peat bogs and wetlands of the Monts de Lacaune.

In these waterlogged soils, plants such as sphagnum moss thrive. Deprived of oxygen, microorganisms cannot decompose organic matter, which accumulates to form peat.
