Founded in 1290, Pampelonne was a Royal Bastide in the 13th century. That ancestral time remain particular to the bastides square square and a corner tower in the heart of the village. Sailing in bow of the meander dominating the Valley of the Viaur, this place has remained long impregnable, before falling to the but of the English, who also occupied the village of the hideout of which there is only a bridge and the Chapel; overlooking the Viaur, dating from the 12th century and 13th century.
