In the heart of the Pays de Cocagne, La Ferme de la Platé welcomes you to Guitalens-L’Albarède, in a peaceful rural setting. Just a few minutes away, the medieval village of Lautrec, listed among the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”, invites you to discover its windmill, the history of pastel dye, and its many summer events, including the famous garlic festival. Walking enthusiasts will enjoy the surrounding countryside paths, between cereal fields and open landscapes.

Castres, a town of art and history, is perfect for strolling along the Agout River, admiring its colorful houses, the Goya Museum and lively markets. Further north, Albi reveals the Sainte-Cécile Cathedral, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece of southern Gothic architecture, as well as the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum and the banks of the Tarn River.

Nature lovers will appreciate the Sidobre massif, famous for its spectacular granite boulders and hiking trails, as well as the Montagne Noire and the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, ideal for outdoor activities. The bastide villages of the Tarn region and the Gaillac vineyards complete the discovery of an area rich in heritage, landscapes and local flavors.

The air-conditioned gîte is laid out on one level in a former farmhouse that is still active today. It is attached to the owners’ home and to a second gîte, while each accommodation preserves its own privacy. The entrance opens onto a pleasant living area with an open-plan kitchen, dining space and lounge with TV. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, filter coffee maker and Senseo machine.

One comfortable bedroom:
- 1 electric double bed (140x190 cm)

Two additional guests can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. An extra bed can also be provided in the bedroom for a child.

The bathroom includes a shower and washbasin, with a separate toilet and washing machine. Mosquito screens are installed in both the living room and bedroom for extra comfort during summer.

Outside, you can enjoy a shaded south-east-facing terrace with charcoal barbecue, pergola and a large green area of approximately 800 m², perfect for relaxing. Guests may also observe life on the cereal farm, with chickens and the owners’ dog on site.

For leisure activities, a swing and bicycles are available free of charge. A peaceful and functional holiday home, ideal for relaxing as a couple while discovering the treasures of the Tarn region.

The gîte is located 2 km on foot from the center of Guitalens-L'Albarède village, where you will find all amenities: grocery store, bakery, tobacconist, petrol station, pharmacy, doctors and restaurants.
