Montagne Noire is part of Parc naturel régional du Haut-Languedoc, in the centre of Toulouse, Albi, Carcassonne triangle. Next to the 12th century abbey school of Sorèze (2 km) with its historic city of character and the bastide of Revel (7 km) with its superb wooden market hall topped by a belfry which houses one of the 10 most beautiful markets in France every Saturday. Close to Saint-Ferréol lake (5km) "sea in the mountain" with its dam. The lake is part of the water supply network of the Canal du Midi and so listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
This gîte is the former hunting lodge of the estate. It was transformed into a magnificent gîte for ten people, adjoining Pavillon de la Calèche cottage. The owners live in the castle. Pretty garden and lawn, terrace overlooking the private heated swimming pool.
On the ground floor there is a living room, a large kitchen opening onto the terrace, a toilet. Upstairs are the four bedrooms, each with en suite shower or bathtub. Air conditioning in each room.
Sheets and towels for hire, cleaning service at the end of your stay. Utilities not included, tourist tax extra.
