The Glass Museum shows a magnificent collection of blue-green glassware of Languedoc and of drinking glasses.
The town of Soreze shelters a unique museum installed in a former hospice, built under Charles X. The museum was created by Yves Blaquière, a scholarly man fascinated by history and glassware.
The association "Les Amis de Sorèze", which was established in 1998, manages the museum with the help of the town hall and organizes exhibitions and conferences.
The museum currently contains over 1800 pieces of glassware, from antiquity to the mid-twentieth century. Two specific types characterize the collection : the drinking glasses from the 17th to the 19th century and the blue-green glassware of Languedoc.
