Vacherie de Rivet

The Vacherie de Rivet is located in Tonnac, between Cordes and Vaour. Its dairy cows graze its meadows and are fed on hay. The farm is certified as an organic farm. All its cheeses are made from raw, whole cow's milk.

"The Vacherie de Rivet is situated in the heart of a wooded landscape interspersed with meadows and some cereal crops.
We raise 24 dairy cows and renewal heifers, which represents a total of about 40 cows and heifers. We have 85 hectares mainly of natural grassland and pasture.
On the arable land we sow meadows and grain (barley, oats, peas) for our cows. Our cows graze outside whenever possible (about 9 months a year) and are fed hay when the grass is scarce.
With the milk from our cows, we produce a wide range of cheeses: fresh cheeses, faisselle, pressed tommes and soft cheeses.
Fresh cheeses (faisselle, fromage blanc, flavoured fresh cheeses), semi-fresh cheeses such as Saint-Marcelin, tommes, soft cheeses, blue cheese.
Our sales channels in the Tarn: AMAP Albi-La madeleine, AMAP de Rivières, O'meloKo (omeloko.fr), Terra Local (Gaillac) - cheese is sold locally at the farm by appointment and in local grocery shops (see the list on our website).
We receive visitors at the farm, every day, by appointment only.
