Contes en Balade Festival 2026

The 27th edition of “Contes en Balade” in the Tarn, September 16–October 11, 2026!
The festival is organized by the Tarn Departmental Council. Overall management, programming, and technical support: Tarn Departmental Media Library.

The program put together by the Tarn Departmental Media Library promises moments rich in emotion and shared experiences. Eight artists invite you to discover their imaginative worlds in 16 towns across the department.
Promoted with energy and passion by librarians from the Tarn, the festival features 16 performances, including two for very young children and two storytelling walks.

In partnership with: The towns of Giroussens, Graulhet, Labruguière, Lacaune-les-Bains, Les Cabannes, Pampelonne, Saint-Amans-Soult, Saint-Juéry, Saïx, Terssac, Vabre,
Vielmur-sur-Agout, Viviers-lès-Montagnes,
The intermunicipal communities of Carmausin-Ségala, Cordais and Causse, Lautrécois-Pays d’Agout, Haut-Languedoc, Sidobre Vals et Plateaux, Sor et Agout, Thoré Montagne Noire, and Tarn-Agout,
The urban communities of Albigeois, Castres-Mazamet, and Gaillac-Graulhet.
With the support of: the Sérénac Departmental Forest Office and the Château-Musée du Cayla.
In collaboration with: the PMI-A service, the Departmental Museum Conservation Office, the Department’s Youth and Sports Service, and the Enface-Jeunesse Departmental Center.
