Rue du Mercadial, 81440 Lautrec
The first major exhibition featuring two photographers who are polar opposites—Alain Lacki and Patrick Sagnes—who combine their respective talents to present an incredible artistic contrast centered on... Lautrec’s pink garlic. A must-see!
The two co-founders of the “Sage comme une image” association, which is organizing the event, are also the two artists behind this unique exhibition!
They wanted to make a strong impression for this first encounter with the public and showcase their diametrically opposed photographic visions—one steeped in dreamlike neo-surrealism and the other rooted in a traditional, minimalist, and humanistic approach.
They say this is the best way to show that photographic expression can take many forms to take the mind on a journey.
The exhibition takes place against the backdrop of the 60th anniversary of the Label Rouge for Lautrec pink garlic and the 30th anniversary of its PGI designation. It was therefore only natural that the central theme for the 20 original works expected to be featured was chosen: Lautrec’s pink garlic.
It is also the first major exhibition organized by the association in the medieval village of Lautrec, known as much for its pink garlic as for its Café Plùm.
“Our goal is to promote art photography in all its forms of expression, here and elsewhere, wherever beauty begins and the senses are awakened.”
