Casa Lontana

Casa Lontana, which means “Distant House,” is a duo consisting of Audrey Peral and Nina Besana-Mourlaàs. The two musicians rearrange Italian songs for two voices, accordion, guitar, and tamburello.

For them, singing in Italian is above all a way to reconnect with their family roots, but also to share their love for this expressive and melodious language. They carefully select lyrics that convey the powerful messages of a past they, in turn, wish to pass on. From Franco-Italian songs to the chants of the Mondine, and including traditional melodies from Puglia and Sicily, the two musicians take us on a passionate journey through their musical world.
