A picnic area right next to the chapel built in the 1950s, located in the town of Dourgne, 25 minutes from the hamlet of La Montagnarié, in a small, cool, wooded valley at the foot of the Montagne Noire, through which the Baylou stream flows.
Some of the highlights include: the waterfall and its spring, which was once frequented by those hoping for a cure. One custom in particular was observed here, as in many other places: washing the affected area with a cloth, which was then left behind. Hence the name “monies” given to this locality—a word in Occitan that refers to the cloths left near sacred springs.
