Winding around the Salette hill, near the windmill, the botanical trail offers an unspoiled setting dotted with trees and plants.

Winding around the Salette hill, near the windmill, the botanical trail offers an unspoiled setting dotted with trees and plants. The plant species have settled there according to the slope’s orientation and humidity.

On the southern slope, you can see “Mediterranean” trees such as the Aleppo pine, while the northern slope features more “mountain” species such as the field elm.

At the end of the trail, there’s a magnificent view of the southern half of the department, with the Montagne Noire and the Pyrenees as a backdrop.
