Treat yourself to a stone interlude at the crossroads of the hiking trails.
Castelnau-de-Montmiral is the starting point for many walks, an ideal strategic point for visiting the Gaillac wine estates and, above all, classified as one of France's most beautiful villages. Here, you're halfway between the Episcopal City of Ali and its famous Sainte-Cécile cathedral, and halfway between the hilltop village of Cordes-sur-Ciel. There's no need to choose between the two, so take the time to visit these two magnificent towns. Don't forget to stop off in Gaillac, which is worth a 15-minute diversions from your guest house.
If you don't want to take the car, don't worry! There are many footpaths all around you. Notably the famous long-distance hiking trail from Castelnau-de-Montmiral to Penne, via Cordes of course.
The guest house :
Stay in an all-stone, single-storey house adjoining the owners, but promise, they're discreet. Access to the guest house is via the owners' shared garden. A first private terrace overlooking the swimming pool on one side of the guest house, and a second shaded private terrace with garden furniture on the other side of the guest house with private plancha.
- Living room with fully equipped kitchen opening onto the dining table. Sitting area with sofa bed for 2 extra people, 4k TV and hi-fi system. Kitchen equipment: oven, fridge, freezer, filter and Dolce Gusto coffee maker, toaster, kettle, sodastream, microwave, food processor, dishwasher.
- Bedroom 1 (22m²) with 160x200cm bed and en-suite shower room: hydromassage shower, washbasin and wc.
- Bedroom 2 (16m²) with 140x190cm bed and en-suite shower room: shower, washbasin and wc. This room is accessed from outside the guest house.
- Private laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Heated swimming pool to be shared with the owners (ask about opening dates). Direct access from the guest house. Dimensions: 9 x 4.5 m by 1.50 m deep. Roller shutter for children's safety. You will be able to make the most of the exterior shared with the owners and their Labrador retriever, who is also present. You can also use the table tennis table and the hammocks.
Bed linen and towels are provided, beds made on arrival, and cleaning service at the end of your stay included.
