La Rabaudié

The Gijou river flows calmly through the charming villages of Gijounet, Viane and Lacaze.
Just one minute by car or 20 minutes on foot lies the village of Viane with shops and services: grocery shop, news and tobacco store, café-restaurant, pizzeria…

Nearby in the valley, discover the mountain villages of Gijounet and Lacaze, as well as Lacaune, a “Station Verte” (casino, Espaces des Sources Chaudes, cross-country skiing depending on snowfall).
The gîte is detached and single-storey, near the owners’ house. One side offers a sunny terrace overlooking the courtyard, and on the other side, a private grassy garden.

Parking is available right in front of the gîte. Shared courtyard with the owners, plus two hens, one cat and of course Charly, Oli and Lili — the three donkeys who love being petted!
Flowing down from the Monts de Lacaune, the wild Gijou crosses wooded mid-mountain landscapes, mixing steep valleys and deep forests, homeland of chestnut trees and porcini mushrooms in autumn.
At 550 m altitude, La Rabaudié is a peaceful retreat — perfect for two — ideal for relaxation or soft outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing (Lake La Rabaudié 300 m away and category 1 stream 100 m away) and cycling, with the greenway just 1 km from the gîte (bike repair tools available). Throughout the seasons, enjoy the serenity and wild beauty of the valley.
