Le Gîte de l’Atelier

A former workshop turned contemporary gîte, in the heart of a village steeped in history.

In Sorèze, at the foot of the Montagne Noire, this unique gîte welcomes you in a privileged natural setting, just a short walk from the village and its iconic Abbaye-École. Located within the Occitanie Grand Site “At the Sources of the Canal du Midi”, the area is rich in authenticity: green valleys, forests, streams, lakes, the historic mills of the Vallée du Sor, farmers' markets, outdoor activities, and cultural heritage to explore.

The gîte was created from the careful renovation of a former woodworking workshop, combining contemporary style with respect for the original structure. Local artisans helped bring this space to life, giving prominence to wood, natural materials, and light. The atmosphere is calm and soothing, in perfect harmony with the environment.

The gîte is bright and ideal for 6 people, with on the ground floor:

- a living area with equipped kitchen, dining area, and lounge, all opening through a large bay window to a lush, landscaped garden
- one bedroom with a 140x190 bed and private shower room
- a second shower room with toilet and washing machine
- a separate toilet

Upstairs, accessible by a beautiful wooden staircase:
- one bedroom with a 140x190 bed
- one bedroom with two 80x190 beds, perfect for children

The flowered, tree-filled garden, with no overlooking neighbors, is perfect for meals or relaxing outdoors, with a barbecue available.
The gîte is also certified as a LPO bird protection refuge, a real bonus for nature and wildlife lovers.

Please note: No television or Wi-Fi for now—a deliberate choice to encourage disconnection (installation coming soon).
