SOREZE ABBEY-SCHOOL

This Benedictine abbey, founded in 754 at the foot of the Montagne Noire, owes its fame to the innovative teaching method it practiced from the 17th century until its closure in 1991.

Its notoriety is such that it was set as a Military School under Louis XVI reign and welcomes students from all parts of the world. It was managed during the 19th century by the R.P. Lacordaire.
