Located in the canton of Cordes-sur-Ciel, on a limestone plateau at an altitude of 300 metres, our vineyards are located in four neighbouring communes.
We therefore offer you our range of wines from our three terroirs.
Amarens, Frausseilles and Souel are villages situated on the Cordes plateau, separated by small steep valleys from which emanate the freshness and dew of the Cérou valley. Our vineyards located on this slope benefit from the morning mist in the middle of August. This climate is very favourable for the production of white wines.
On the other side of the D922, in the Vère valley, the other part of Souel, as well as the commune of Donnazac, are more favourable to the production of red wines thanks to their exposure and their more clayey soils. Souel is one of the most chalky terroirs in the Gaillac appellation, and our clay and rocky soils give our wines a freshness and a marked typicity even in sunny years.
We pay great attention to the maintenance of our vines to preserve their balance, an essential element in the search for optimal ripeness of the grapes. Our choices are guided by rigorous daily observations, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. We favour manual work, from pruning to harvesting. Imagining and composing wines without artifice, reflecting our terroirs, has always defined our line of conduct.
